 Legacy Systems Migrations Experiences
i2b's founders, while on contract for Cinram International (formerly Nelson
Video Vend Ltd.) embarked on two large scale application migrations, and one
Oracle RDBMS migration during their tenure with the company. Both of these
systems migrations involved the migration of the company's core business
operations, those being, on-line transaction processing for a network of 400
Automated Video Rental Machines (similar in nature to Automated Banking
Machines).
It's worth noting that this software has been operating The Amazing Video
Network's 200 Automated Video Vending Machines since 1994. That's over a 8
years of service!
